Temperature works differently from other units because the scales start at different points. The formula is °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32. The inch, foot, pound and ounce values come from exact international definitions; the others are rounded to six significant figures. Our volume converter uses US gallon. The UK (imperial) gallon is different from the US gallon with 1 UK gallon = 4.54609 liters .

Frequently asked questions

Is Fast Unit Converter Hub free?

Yes. Every converter is free to use, with no account or sign-up.

How accurate are the conversions?

Each converter uses the official definitions. For example, 1 inch is exactly 2.54 centimeters and 1 pound is exactly 0.45359237 kilograms. Results are rounded for display, so for engineering or medical work, check them against an official source.

Will my bank give me the same exchange rate?

Usually not. We show the mid-market rate, which is halfway between the buying and selling price. Banks and money-transfer services add a margin, so the rate they offer is normally a little less favorable.

Can you add a converter I need?
